The idea and motivation (1/4)

• To get a view on syntactical differences:

  • Tag 2 or more collections of comparable material
    • Do this automatically, using the Trigrams n' Tags (TnT) POS-tagger for example
  • Take n-grams (3-grams) of POS-tags from these collections
  • Statistically compare their frequencies
    • Using permutation statistics
  • Sort the significant POS-n-grams by their frequency
